Welcome to…
Do you remember when you first laid eyes on video games? You probably do, it’s a massive industry that continues going strong to this very day. One thing you may only possibly remember is the days when things like Nintendo Power, Electronic Games, Amiga Action, Commodore Force, and a whole host of other print publications existed, and at one point, even outweighing the sheer number of publications found online. That is what I want to bring back to the table.
The most important part of physical media is the fact you can own it. You aren’t just renting it for a year and then fear that it’s gone the next. August 2024 saw 33 years of gaming journalism dead as GameStop shuttered Game Informer, but if it wasn’t for its print editions, the entire publication could’ve gone down the drain with no one remembering its existance. Could it return? Perhaps, but definately in the same way it began.
